Academic

The merger between the museums and the City of Art and History of Bourges encourages the creation of cross-disciplinary tours and workshops, drawing on both the museums' collections and the city's rich heritage. Activities are tailored to schoolchildren and specific groups.

- “Schoolchildren” section

Learning about your city and local heritage is the best way to appreciate and respect them. The educational activities organised by the Museums and Historical Heritage Department aim to teach young people not only about the history of a city, the evolution of its urban planning, its buildings and housing, and the works of art it houses, but also about citizenship and the sharing of knowledge.

In Bourges, educational programmes are available from nursery school to higher education and are based on:

- The heritage and history of the city

- The collections of the museums of the city of Bourges

- The Estève Museum and its collections

- The Maison des Musées and its themed exhibitions.

Designed with the support of dedicated teachers, the educational programme focuses on a sensory approach, experimentation, and stimulating the creativity and curiosity of the public.
